Anna Evans Phillips, MD, MS

Dr. Phillips focuses on the evaluation of pain in chronic pancreatitis, a debilitating inflammatory condition that can be complicated by central sensitization.  Her current funded research utilizes pancreatic quantitative sensory testing to phenotype patients for the prediction of pain outcomes.

Aaron D. Fox, MD, MS

Aaron D. Fox is primary care physician, addiction medicine specialist, and Professor of Medicine. Dr. Fox’s research focuses on opioid use disorder and the interrelated problems of chronic pain, HIV infection, and incarceration. Dr. Fox leads clinical trials of combined behavioral and pharmacological interventions and develops and evaluates innovative care delivery models for marginalized populations.

Risa L. Wong, MD

Dr. Risa L. Wong is a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancers. Her research interests are in symptom management and quality of life for patients with genitourinary cancers, particularly for patients with prostate cancer undergoing androgen deprivation therapy.

Erin L. Winstanley, PhD

Dr. Winstanley received her doctoral degree from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, her postdoctoral training was in behavioral pharmacology, and she has 25+ years of experience as a behavioral health services researcher. Katie Suda, PharmD, MS

Katie J. Suda, PharmD, MS, is a Professor of Medicine. Dr. Suda’s area of research is pharmacoepidemiology, especially in the area of antimicrobials, and dual use of VA and non-VA health care. Currently, she is researching antibiotics and opioids in dental prescribing, including a focus on veteran use of multiple health care systems.
